The Importance of Recycling Currently, recycling is important for our world. Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. It is important because recycling waste reduces the amount of harmful materials produced and reduces energy usage, therefore benefitting the environment. There are several point why should we recycle. The first is recycling helps protect the environment. Recycling reduces the need for extracting, refining and processing raw materials all of which create air and water pollution.
